CSCC Autox Supplemental Rules

Conduct and Safety

  • Safety must be the first priority for all participants. Anyone who is reckless or out of control while driving on course, purposefully or otherwise, will be removed from the event. This rule applies to competition runs and especially to fun runs.
  • Any participant seen speeding or driving dangerously on or around the site shall be disqualified. Drivers are responsible for their crews and friends. This means if a driver's friend, mom, dad, brother, sister, etc. speeds or drives dangerously, the driver is disqualified. There will be NO REFUND for a disqualified driver. Tire spins, burnouts, or any other abnormal vehicle behavior is prohibited, other than during competition. Participants are expected to obey all posted speed limits outside the event site.
  • All participants are expected to act in a sportsmanlike manner. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
  • All participants will remove all trash from their areas. Drivers leaving trash behind will be disqualified.
  • Absolutely NO alcohol or drugs, except for prescribed medications, are permitted at the event site.
  • Any fluid spills must be cleaned up immediately.

    Car Numbers and Classification

  • CSCC runs under the NASA-X 2009 car classing. For any questions, please refer to the provided copies of each at the registration tent.
  • All drivers must display numbers and class on both sides of the car, car numbers at least 8" high and class letters at least 4" high.
  • Shoe polish/glass chalk numbers are permitted,
  • Number/class designation must match exactly what is entered in the computer at registration for the driver.
  • Automotive-grade painter's tape will be provided at tech inspection for those without magnetic numbers

    Novices

  • A novice is deemed to be any driver with less than 3 autocross events experience.
  • CSCC highly suggests that novices talk to instructors and get them to ride along for their first 1 or 2 runs to help them learn and understand the course.

    Worker Assignments

  • All drivers must complete a work assignment at each event. Substitutes may be used as long as workers notify the Worker Steward prior to the substitution.
  • Workers must check in with the Worker Steward before the group prior to their assigned work group finishes their runs. Workers for Run Group #1 must check in immediately after the driver?s meeting. Work changes will be changing ?on the fly?; therefore workers need to check in for their assignment 10-15 mins. before the next run group begins.

    Timing and Scoring

  • The timing and scoring tent is OFF LIMITS FOR ALL COMPETITORS, CREW, AND GUESTS. There will be a white board with all current group times posted next to the timing tent.
  • Results will be posted within 48 hours after an event. Passengers
  • Passengers must be at least 12 years of age. Passengers under 18 must have a minor waiver signed by parents.
  • Passengers must wear a helmet and seat belt, and keep arms and hands inside the vehicle during the run.
  • Only one passenger is allowed in the car at a time.
  • Passengers are allowed during competition runs and fun runs.
